POETRY: Kaleidescope

Kids in brick houses. Nostalgia ringing your doorbell daily.

Accidents happen. They are not the end of the world. But if all really is lost, be reassured, no one can say you didn’t die trying.

Listening becomes burdensome. Hearing becomes Habit. Understanding is the key.

Everything has purpose, reason and rhyme.  Everything touches, life is intertwined.

I see coffee cups and fast cars, trailer parks and broken hearts. Suburbs and everything in between. Speeding up or slow down, we are constantly searching for satisfaction with time.

Death is reported, seemingly never witnessed. News about news about news. What else are they telling you? What else are you believing? It’s somewhat revolutionary.

Empty gas tanks. Responsibility. Expectations are silently in play

Sunshine.  They come here craving ocean shores and sun-kissed skin. Content within my island.

Community, but on a limiting scale. Camaraderie only reaches so far.

Opportunity growing in both directions.

Poetry is omnipresent. God carries a journal in his back pocket. I’m sure of it.

Enchantment slipping away as we speak.

Diversity

Evangeline

Silly sisterly singing

Incomplete and visible, poetry

Reign, reign comes our way

Addition and subtraction

Enjoying every last bight
