YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH B&W: An Edgy Twist to Classic Colors
This collection was inspired by none other than the beautiful Janelle Monae!
My closet is full of vibrant patterns and colors. I wanted to put together ensembles that challenged my wardrobe building blocks by limiting the color palette.
Look 1: Nerdiness is Next to Godliness
Quirky graphics & playful accents are the highlights of this outfit. I went with the knee-high socks to add a certain school girl flair and combat boots to toughen it up.
Boots: JCPenney
Dress: Forever 21
Socks: Ebay
Necklace set: Wal-Mart
Rings: Claire’s
Look 2: Florals in Winter
I absolutely LOVE mixing patterns! There should be a delicate approach to this style, but always worth the risk. I went with a classic striped crop top to balance my hobo floral skirt. I am so proud of this polished pattern combo!
Sandals: Belle Marie
Skirt: Forever 21
Top: Forever 21
Earrings: Claire’s
Necklace: Claire’s
Watch and ring: Thrifted
Look 3: Almost a 90’s Punk
This outfit goes back to basics; jeans and a solid crop top. But of course I couldn’t just leave it at that. With a cool baseball jersey and some dramatic, chunky accessories, this outfit gives off
the perfect old-school street vibe.
Top: Charlotte Russe
Jeans: Thrifted
Jersey: Thrifted
